Raéd Alexander Ayyad is the founder and CEO of Connexxen, a company born from a deep-rooted passion for smart technology and innovation. The journey of Connexxen began long before the company was formally established—starting with Raéd’s pioneering work in remote home and office automation at just 11 years old. This early experimentation with home automation systems using the X10 protocol and personal PCs laid the foundation for the visionary company Connexxen is today.
With over two decades of experience in information technology, infrastructure solutions, and business consulting, Raéd has collaborated with some of the world’s largest corporations, tackling complex and high-pressure challenges. As a career partner with Michael A. Davis (a fellow tech innovator), Raéd refined his skills in process engineering and business solutions delivery.
In 2005, Raéd’s passion for solving real-life problems led to the creation of the first "control server" prototype—specially designed to automate and remotely manage home appliances and security systems. This project was originally driven by his commitment to providing safety and convenience for his beloved Orange Main Coon cat, Neelix, who required life-support systems during Raéd’s business travels.
After tragically losing Mr. Davis to COVID-19 during the first year of the pandemic, Raéd took on the mantle of continuing the mission to make advanced home technology and automation available to the general public, ensuring smart home solutions are affordable and accessible for all.
